Student Mobility in Setubal-Portugal

 Student Mobility in Setubal-Portugal

The Erasmus+ Vocational Education Project titled “Developing Creativity and Problem Solving Skills in Vocational Education with Problem-Based Learning” (CreaVET) under the European Union Education, Youth and Sports Programs, Project No. 2023-1-TR01-KA220-VET-000152095, was carried out at the FEPSET School in Setubal, Portugal, between May 19-23, 2025.

Students from partner countries participated in the mobility. After the training on “Creative Skills in Vocational Education” given by Portuguese experts, the students searched for solutions to the given problem with the problem-based learning method.

First, the students introduced themselves and the PBL projects they did in their schools. The students were divided into 4 mixed teams. Each team brainstormed for the solution of the given problem and then created mind maps. They prepared their final solution proposals as a presentation. At the end of the mobility, they made their presentations. The students who participated in the mobility were also given a "Creative Skills Competition" and awards were given.

After the certificate ceremony, the students took a tour of the ocean and the city. They got to know the Portuguese culture. They interacted with languages and cultures. The very useful mobility was appreciated by the students and teachers.

From the students' thoughts, comments and evaluations about the mobility:

It was super fun
Was good but due to personal circumstances relating to food couldn't talk much with the other students outside the problem solving task.
I think the mobility was wonderful. We got to meet a lot of people from different parts of the world and In addition to that work with them. It was really interesting to learn about PBL(Problem Based Learning) and we got to have real practice with this particular aspect by trying to solve problem in teams. All members were of a different country so the team was very dynamic and had a lot of different opinions about the same problem. It made us learn more about the problem solving, brainstorming and nurtured team working skills. In addition, we got to exchange our culture, traditions and grown closer to each other. As for me personally this was an eye opening experience. My warmest regards to everyone helping this project come to life.
It was a super fun and complete activity. I got to meet lots of people from different cultures and even learn some short phrases in their languages as I got to visit a beatiful country. Learning about the PBL method has also made me see school, classes and courses in a different way and I will be trying to apply it, even as just a student.
I really enjoyed being in this project. The PBL has more benefits than traditional learning methods. Doing PBL assignments improved my creativity and my understanding to different situations. Working with other students improved my english communication skills. It was a nice experience to get know new people and to get some experience of learning in a different way.
Very good, it gives people opportunities that they don’t always have
This mobility experience was one of the most eye-opening and unforgettable moments of my education. It gave me the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone, meet people from different cultures, and practice my English in real-life situations. Living and learning in a new country for a short time helped me grow more confident, independent, and aware of global perspectives. I believe every student should have a chance like this.
It was a really nice experience for me. It helped me see my own skills and at the same time, I gained new experiences, new friendships and a new purpose in this program we did. There is really nothing better than discovering new things. Therefore, I would like to thank you for everything in the program we did. Discovering new things in my life made me very happy, I hope I will meet you in the future. Thank you for everything.
I enjoyed every second of this project! Thank you for your organisation. I wish you more successful projects like this! Thank you!
Loved this project wish I could go to it again
I sincerely thank the entire management team for organizing such a meaningful Erasmus project. Being involved in a program focused on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) was a unique and enriching experience. It not only enhanced my ability to work in a team and think critically, but also allowed me to understand how education can be more interactive and engaging. I will always carry the lessons and memories from this journey with me.
I would like to thank and congratulate all the teachers who contributed to this program and everyone who helped prepare it. I would like to thank you endlessly for making me and many of my student friends happy and providing us with such an atmosphere and experience. The fact that your program has great importance for young people like us in their future lives and creates a source of light for future generations is a reflection of a great horizon. I do not want to say more because the atmosphere there and what you left us with is more than enough to tell you this. Thank you very much to everyone. Best regards
I think the activities and time of the two days were well managed and I really enjoyed it.
