Student Training in Lithuania
Workshops and training about Creativity and Problem-solving learning were delivered to students in Marijampole, Sudovian Academy, MRU.
Students were introduced to interactive study methods - problem-solving-oriented and creativity-building study methods, the application in the study process that promotes students' personal and professional competencies. Students need to apply effective learning methods, to be able to use their knowledge to find an answer to a problem, to apply critical thinking, to generate unusual and innovative solutions, and to find solutions to real problem situations.
More than twenty students took part in a discussion on the importance of creativity and the benefits of developing creativity skills in their professional careers. Creativity was analysed as the ability to look at tasks and problems in a new way, emphasizing methods of generating ideas and divergent thinking, repeating problems, etc. The training raised discussion questions on whether creativity can be managed and developed. There was also a strong emphasis on individual and group approaches to creativity.
Later, workshops continued with creating the content after analysis of certain problems, practical work, and creative presentations on problem solutions.
