CreaVET Seminar: Exploring Creativity and Innovation in Vocational Education
On February 18, 2025, the CreaVET seminar was held at Volterra Elia School in Ancona, exclusively for its students and their teachers. The event was part of the CreaVET Erasmus+ project, aiming to introduce Problem-Based Learning (PBL) as an innovative approach to Vocational Education and Training (VET).
The seminar began with an overview of CreaVET, highlighting how PBL can enhance problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. Students and teachers explored how this methodology helps prepare learners for real-world challenges by promoting active learning and collaboration.
During the session, participants engaged in interactive workshops, working on case studies and real-life scenarios using the PBL method. These activities demonstrated the effectiveness of experiential learning compared to traditional teaching methods.
A brainstorming session encouraged discussions on creativity in education, focusing on how digital tools, interdisciplinary collaboration, and artistic approaches can make learning more engaging.
The seminar concluded with a highly interactive activity, where students and teachers worked together on a practical challenge, applying the knowledge gained throughout the session. This final exercise reinforced the importance of teamwork and problem-solving in education.
The CreaVET seminar at Volterra Elia demonstrated how innovative teaching strategies can transform vocational education, equipping students with the skills needed for the future.
